SYSTEMS ENGINEER (LDAP/ORACLE/UNIX) - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

Languages: ENGLISH and FRENCH (bilingual)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- At least 6 years of experience in UNIX/Oracle infrastructure environments.
- ITIL V3 foundation certification.
- Experience with Prince2/PM² methodologies is an asset.
- Experience with ticketing system (SMT is an asset).
- Experience with CHANGE and RELEASE Management is an asset.
- Experience with Sharepoint as user is an asset.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

- Operational tasks on Oracle Directory server 11.1.1.7.0 such as:
- Stop/Start LDAP Server
- Replication tasks (stop, start, resync, ssl)
- Perform LDAP query
- Indexing jobs
- Troubleshooting via access, audit, error logs
- Backup of running instance
- Schema Updates
- Restore instance from backup
- Infrastructure
- Upgrade LDAP Server to new version
- Patch the server
- Migrate from Solaris to Linux
- Monitoring
- Abilities to monitor the LDAP Servers via homemade scripts
- Understand mechanism to proactively monitor the LDAP Servers
- Scripting
- Write new scripts bash, ksh, Perl
- Improve current scripts
- Operating systems
- Linux RedHat 6.5
- Solaris 10 update 10
