Systems Engineer Job

SYSTEMS ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in PHOENIX, AZ.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- DO-178B and/or DO-254 development life cycle knowledge including requirements, design, development, change control, configuration management, integration, validation, verification and qualification
- Familiarity with DO-160 hardware qualification
- Background/Experience working in the Aerospace Industry
- Broad based system design and development background (electronics, software, avionics) with experience in system design and architecting utilizing ARP4754A guidance and considering commercial aircraft certification requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Collaborate on joint definition and development of electronic aircraft systems from upfront LRU system architecture and interface definition through requirements capture and flow down, trace, integration, qualification test and ending with support of ground/flight test and certification.
- Generation of System Test Cases, System Test Procedures; dry run performance and run for score
- Work closely with the Project Lead and systems team to manage system requirement and scope aspects of the project.
- Daily technical interaction with program, project, electrical, software, hardware, mechanical, test and quality groups within the division
- Regular technical interaction with other client divisions, partners and end customers may be required
- Develop sub-system trade studies, algorithms and error budgets as necessary to support the project
- Drive the usage of appropriate Lean Product Development tools to support cost-effective technical solutions with heavy focus on platform design, reuse and knowledge-management

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS degree in Systems, Electrical or related Engineering with
- At least twelve (12) years of experience as a systems engineer in the Aerospace Industry
- Experience with various electrical-mechanical systems to include Primary and/or Secondary flight control systems, Brake Control Electronics, & Actuator Control Electronics.
- Familiarity with system architecture modelling using MATLAB/Simulink to analyze system performance
- Background in Systems/RMS, requirements and integration for aerospace products
- Experience with system modelling to support hardware/software partitioning, trade studies, overall design decisions, and to predict total system performance
- Experience with model based system engineering utilizing Matlab and Simulink including auto code generation
- Experience with ARP4761 guidance including a solid understanding of how the FHA, SSA, Fault Trees, Certification Test Plans, Reliability Analysis, Common-Mode Analyses, and other documents required for aircraft certification are constructed, including a capability to verify safety critical systems
- Experience with the CAFTA FTA tool and Windchill (Relex).

- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to facilitate frequent interaction with internal disciplines and with other client divisions and OEM's worldwide
