WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Systems Engineer III is a member of a highly specialized staff of professionals who provide mathematical and statistical consulting and analysis services primarily to scientific researchers, engineers, business managers and decision-makers.
- The contract worker is responsible for developing, conducting and participating in technical and business studies involving chemical process and product development with emphasis on process optimization and robust product design, through the combination of first principles chemical engineering models and computational data-based techniques.
- Frequently the goal of such a project is that of process or product optimization and the incumbent must be familiar with such techniques in order to provide effective technical assistance.
- The methodology employed in any particular problem may be a classical one, but often, the problem will dictate the development of a creative methodology which is not found in the literature.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Position requires an M.S. or PhD in Chemical/Industrial Engineering/Statistics with background in data sciences and computational modelling techniques.
- Three to seven (3 - 7) years of work experience in industrial problem solving with emphasis on analysing process and business data coming from multiple sources and systems level thinking.
- Must have strong knowledge of the state-of-the-art methods in data mining, numerical analysis and mathematical optimization, simulation techniques, and statistical sciences.
- Proficiency with stochastic modelling and optimization techniques for business analytics and reliability engineering.
- Proficiency in SAS, MATLAB, GAMS, SPSS and other predictive modelling and optimization platforms.
- Strong programming skills with significant experience in Scripting languages R, Python, Java, C++, SQL.
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
