Systems Engineer Job

SYSTEMS ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

Top Skills You Should Possess:
- In-depth knowledge of the Redhat Enterprise Virtualization platform including Satellite
- In-depth knowledge of current generation Dell server and storage solutions
- In-depth knowledge of standard email messaging protocols (SMTP, POP3, IMAP4)
- In-depth knowledge of OSS applications and software

What You'll Be Doing:
- Conduct design sessions with appropriate participation from OSS Architects, Requirements Analysts, IT Operations and OSS Systems Engineers
- Create detailed design documents and functional specifications for new applications/services and for enhancements to existing systems/service
- Create configuration designs and collaboration with IT Operations for design and implementation of various environments
- Create work effort estimates for new features and bug fixes for use in prioritization and release management
- Develops core code modules, unit test tools and release notes for enhancements and bug fixes

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Advanced ability to conduct design sessions to specify solution designs for feasibility, cost, and functionality
- Advanced ability to create detailed documentation to functionally understand new and existing applications
- Advanced ability to follow and implement established change and control policies and procedures.
- Advanced ability to troubleshoot and diagnose application performance issues across multiple highly concurrent systems
- Advanced ability to analyze Client Server behavior and determine RFC compliance
- Advanced ability to direct less experienced technicians providing 'remote hands' service within the datacenter
- In-depth knowledge of the Redhat Enterprise Virtualization platform including Satellite
- In-depth knowledge of performance and health monitoring solutions
- In-depth knowledge of current generation Dell server and storage solutions
- In-depth knowledge of standard email messaging protocols (SMTP, POP3, IMAP4)
- In-depth knowledge of object based storage architectures

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of email anti-abuse and delivery assurance techniques
- In-depth knowledge of development tools, application frameworks, and testing tools.
