Systems Engineer Job

SYSTEMS ENGINEER I - NOC - needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St Louis, Missouri.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Proactively diagnose and resolve technical faults related to hardware, software, routing and networks before morphing into impairment or outage. Monitor work queues and maintain compliance tracking for orders requiring day of install service provisioning and activation.
- Provide issue resolution and detection assistance to NOC and OSS teams during outage situations impacting telephone and Internet services

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Experience proactively diagnosing and resolve technical faults related to hardware, software, routing and networks before morphing into impairment or outage.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting multiple OS's including Red Hat and Solaris
- Proven experience troubleshooting application, hardware, DNS and routing layer faults
- Experience with formal change management process and procedures
- Complex troubleshooting, fault isolation, root cause analysis, and incident management experience
- Linux Experience
- Excellent verbal and documentation skills

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with enterprise, systems and network monitoring tools such as Netcool, Solarwinds CPM, etc.
- CCNA, Weblogic is preferred or equivalent experience
- Experience managing and troubleshooting multiple OS's including Red Hat and Solaris
