Systems Engineer Job

SYSTEMS ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Auburn Hills, MI.

THE BIG PICTURE:

Under the general supervision of the Desktop Engineering Team Lead, the Desktop Engineer is responsible for the day to day management and optimization of the client environment, both physical and virtual.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Maintain and optimize Client Performance from a high level
- Create custom scripts using PowerShell, VBS, WiseScript, etc
- Identifies other areas for improvement by consolidation into this team to further increase customer satisfaction
- Provide recommendations for innovation in the client environment, and follow through to implementation
- Reviews industry best practices to implement and manage PC Support and Desktop Engineering processes
- Informs management of critical issues that may affect clients or the infrastructure and provides recommendations for mitigation
- Interface with VWoA (CERT) Computer Emergency Response Team as needed to analyze and respond to CERT messages and mitigate risks as appropriate
- Produces performance reports periodically and as necessary
- Active Directory GPO's related to end user computers
- 3rd level PC Support
- Participate in and lead projects affecting the end-user computing environment
- Administer and Manage McAfee ePO and Citrix XenApp

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent real life experience
- Two to four (2-4) years of experience in Desktop Management
- McAfee ePO, VirusScan Enterprise, HIPS
- VMware Vsphere
- Citrix XenApp
- System Center Configuration Manager
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft Group Policy Management
- Microsoft Windows 7 and 8
- Microsoft MDOP components
- Successful software deployments/completion
- Compliance with VWGoA computing standards
- Incident and Request Resolution
- Change Management
- Understanding of core IT service and support practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- MCSE, ACE, or other relevant technical certifications
