Systems Engineer - Content Delivery, Streaming, Caching - Contract

SYSTEMS ENGINEER - CONTENT DELIVERY, STREAMING, CACHING - CONTRACT

We are looking for a Systems Engineer specialising in video content delivery, streaming, caching, web accelerators and building CDN's (Content Delivery Networks) such as Varnish, Level 3, Akamai, Limelight etc.

The successful engineer will have strong experience in Server Side software development of video content solutions using modern programming languages such as Perl/C/C++/Java/Scala/Python/Ruby/.Net or others.

Experience building a CDN is highly desirable (Akamai, Level 3, Varnish, Limelight, bespoke or other)

We are looking for a specialist to join this new project and to help shape a world leading content delivery team. Your opinions and knowledge will be highly valued in building this new team with an aim of shaping how we deliver video content in the future across the world - starting by changing the way this already cutting edge, market leading, global media company delivers media all over the world.

KEY SKILLS:

Must have built a Content Delivery Network, CDN's (Varnish/Akamai/Level 3/Limelight/other bespoke CDN's)
