Systems Engineer (Citrix)

Systems Engineer with a Citrix Xenapp background and knowledge is required for an initial 6 month contract with a global ICT organisation at their location in Valencia, Spain. This is an English speaking role however candidates with Spanish language skills will be highly considered.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design, setup, maintenance and administration of the Citrix Xenapp infrastructure farm (Server, Application and desktop)
- Managing and maintaining standard configurations, monitoring and analysis tools, as well as assisting with the solution of the problems related to Citrix Xenapp environment
- Final testing and deployment of Citrix Xen farm solution (Server, Application and desktop), operating systems and other related components
- Technical documentation as part of release management process
- Analyzing the technical needs of customer, end-users and all stakeholders while helping identify technical problems and propose solutions as part of problem management process
- Analyze the client`s partners` overall requirements and develop comprehensive plans that meet overall goals and objectives as part of service level management process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-5 years of experience in designing, implementing and supporting Citrix Xenapp servers and server farms including Xenserver and Xenapp in an enterprise environment
- Excellent technical knowledge of Citrix solutions Xen App, XenServer and Xen Desktop
- Excellent technical knowledge of Windows, Vmware and Linux Operating Systems (MS Windows 2003/2008, Vsphere , SLES and RHEL)
- Good technical knowledge of Virtualization technology, MS Active Directory Services and MS Exchange solution
- Good technical knowledge of HP hardware (BL/DL) and SAN EMC/HP technology
- General understanding of Local and Wide Area Network concepts
- Strong experience with application customization and packaging
- Citrix Certification (CCA) is MANDATORY
- Experience in drafting technical documents
- Exposure in Information Security Management System (ISMS: ISO 27001), ITIL framework and other industry standard related best practices
- Experience in project management with PRINCE 2 desirable
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required
- Knowledge of Spanish is desirable
