Systems Engineer (Application Performance)

Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for 2 Systems Engineer with a focus on Application Performance. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience with Splunk and/or App Dynamics. You will work on a team which sets direction for establishing architectures, standards, patterns, roadmaps, tools and processes (eg architecture governance) to guide project delivery and platform evolution. Required:

Minimum 3-5 years experience with App Dynamics and/or Splunk
Solid understanding of Application and Infrastructure Performance Management
Internet Information Services (HTTP, SSL)
Previous experience with large software implementations in a Windows environment
Ability to adapt quickly and learn new skills.
Shows initiative and works with a sense of urgency.
Ability to maintain an enterprise level perspective while understanding how all system level components interact.
Advanced technical troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem solving skills
Analyzes data from various sources to determine next steps

Plusses:

VMWare VSphere 5.x or higher
Powershell
Python code customizations and development experience
In-depth knowledge of vendor software integration and interaction patterns
Experience with multi-platform applications (Mainframe and distributed)
Experience with Linux Infrastructure is a plus
Experience with BMC Patrol is a plus
