Systems Engineer

Systems Engineer required to join a world leading Aerospace company on an initial 6 month contract based in Bedfordshire.

The Systems Engineer has the key responsibly for providing robust designs for new concepts or product ranges. These should be able to be defined to allow them to be rapidly used in production products. The role is multi-disciplined combined with a strong desire to challenge and innovate and use the latest technologies effectively.

Specifically this role is responsible for:
*Produce and evaluate galley system design concepts
*Ensure that conceptual design is suitable for certification against EASA or FAA regulations and satisfies the contract specification
*Produce the necessary reports to demonstrate that the design satisfies all relevant EASA or FAA regulations
*Compressible and incompressible fluid systems encompassing, Plumbing, Cooling, Ventilation & Extraction Verification of Design
*Devise Performance, Environmental and Endurance testing and analysis
*To undertake the checking of detail, sub-assembly, general assembly and installation drawings
*Preparation of schemes and provision of technical support for test programmes. To analyse test results and report findings
*Present and provide expertise at internal and external technical meetings
*Any other reasonable duties

The suitable applicant will be educated to degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or have the relevant experience to meet the requirements of this position.

*Previous experience in design organisation involved in aerospace design
*Familiar with current EASA and FAA regulations in particular CS
*Excellent reporting and communication skills
*Familiarity with CFD packages and Flowmaster desirable
*Experience in Test verification desirable
*Effective oral and written communication skills
*Good team working skills & work ethic
*Effective use of Microsoft Word and Excel
*Awareness of the certification framework within which the work is undertaken
