Projektbeschreibung
Systems Engineer required for contract in Dublin Southside
- Provide technical support to build, configure and maintain application environments across all Systems EMEA applications.
- Ensure all Systems EMEA application environments are secure, reliable and resilient.
- Provide application build and deployment services to Systems EMEA Delivery project teams
- Build and support production application environments.
- Build and support controlled testing (UAT etc) application environments.
- Support and maintain application delivery/publishing via Citrix and web/application Servers
- Provide application environment support for resolution of system incidents
- Maintain processes and documentation for application environment build and maintenance
- Deploy application releases to production and controlled testing environments.
- Develop and implement automated processes to improve supportability and save costs
- Assisting Production Support and project teams with installation of uncontrolled environments
- Assist in fulfilling requests for service, requests for change and other queries.
- Maintain and evidence SDLC controls for Internal and Sarbanes Oxley Audit
- Participate in a rota to cover on-call and shifts.
REQUIREMENTS
- English fluency essential, with strong documentation skills
- Well organised with strong analytic and decision making skills
- Self-motivated, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communicator with a positive attitude towards change
- Excellent Knowledge of SDLC, version/source control and change management, gained while working in a development or support role in a complex Client Server/Web Environment.
Demonstrated experience of the following:
OS: Windows 2K3/2K8 (Standard/Enterprise), Windows XP, Citrix (XenApp 4.5), Solaris (preferred)
DEVELOPMENT: VB (5, 6 or Script), HTML, ASP, XML, SQL, DOS Scripting
PRODUCTIVITY: MS Office, MS Project
SDLC: Knowledge of Version Control and Incident Management systems. ITIL (preferred)
AUDIT: Maintaining and evidencing SDLC controls for Sarbanes Oxley and Internal Audit
OTHER: Java Application Servers, Directory Services
Third Level Education in a related discipline
Experience in the support of production systems and new system deployments
Over 5 years experience working in a development or technical support role
