Systems Administrator Job

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR needed for a contract with Yoh's client located in Palo Alto, CA.

What You'll Be Doing:
- The System Administrator's role is to monitor, manage and tune in-house computer software systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications.
- This individual also ensures that system provisioning and maintenance is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge on Scripting for automating system administration
- Experience with VMWare ESX highly desirable
- Technical Knowledge of SAN
- Monitoring of Servers, addressing any issues raised and ensuring that SLAs are met
- Pro-active maintenance of Servers and supporting infrastructure
- Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
- Participate in and support capacity planning for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers.
- Coordinate with end-users and other IT infrastructure groups to implement server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives
- Deploy Servers and other related devices in datacenters
- Perform and test routine system backups and restores
- Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on Servers. Escalate incidents as necessary

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Technical knowledge of Linux
- Technical knowledge of Windows
- Knowledge on Scripting for automating system administration
- Palo Alto, but must be open to travelling to the Santa Clara location when needed
