Projektbeschreibung

Builds and maintains system automation and monitoring to support the IT environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Join BMC Event Manager with ProactiveNet/BPPM/BEM
- Support and maintain a High-Availability environment
- Troubleshoot, configure, upgrade and install systems management tools
- Enables 24/7 operation of applications by using industry standard and innovative solutions.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of the event management environment
- Creates enhancements for BMC implementations
- Develop and test automations in the monitoring tools
- Provide consultation to client support teams in analysing reports and metrics.
- Keep up to date on Systems Management products and information and industry best practices
- Work as the product manager for the Systems Management products and projects.
- Troubleshooting, changing or disabling existing monitors and notifications.
- The majority of work will use BMC tools but other Systems Management tools are also utilized
- Document solutions
- Perform capacity management and planning for BPPM environment
- Provide On-call support for systems related to the role.
- Continuously improve the environment to maximize value and service availability.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Experience with any BMC monitoring products
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and Unix.
- Experience integrating monitoring events from multiple sources, including custom monitoring tools.
- Basic Recorder of Objects in C preferred
- UNIX and Windows Server Administration command line interface experience.
- Networking background with a complete understanding of subnetting, DMZs and Firewalls.
- Application development or Scripting experience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an IT field
- Past experience installing, upgrading, configuring and troubleshooting software.
- Experience in synthetic transaction monitoring
- 2-5 years of experience working in an IT field
- Technical Certifications are a plus.
