System Test Engineer/Tech

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Execution of manual test scripts in a System environment.
- Install and configure software on Two-Way Radio Communication Systems in a Test Lab environment.
- Program and utilize radio units under test to validate the system infrastructure.
- Manage test case execution and time tracking in a test management tool.
- Find, debug, and characterize defects.

SKILLS

- Minimum of an Associate's Degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering.
- Conceptual knowledge in system level testing including debugging, collecting and analysing call processing data logs.
- Strong independent problem-solving skills.
- 5+ Years Experience, Windows/PC knowledgeable, knowledge of Wireless, Data, and Telecommunication Networks.
- Working knowledge of test management tools, communicate effectively; both written and orally, multi-tasking and adapts quickly to changing roles and responsibilities in a dynamic and fast paced development environment, good team skills, likes sharing ideas and collaborating with others to achieve a goal, networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP) and OSI model, solid understanding of IP Networking including TCP, UDP, multicast, routing, switching, VPNs and Firewalls, experience with business grade networking equipment a plus.
- Knowledge of IPv6 Ethernet networking, knowledge of Microsoft windows Terminal Servers and Active Directory domains, detailed knowledge of the IP stack and ability to troubleshoot the various protocols, experience with troubleshooting real world issues using tools such as network capture or wiretap, knowledge of dynamic routing protocols a plus, RF transmission and signalling knowledge would be beneficial.
