System Support Specialist (Windows OAT)

System support specialist: URGENTLY REQUIRED system support specialist for contract role in Prague, Czech Republic.

ASSIGNMENT:

- The System Support Specialist is responsible for the resolution of issues with both the regional and global infrastructure server environment setup hosted within IT Services.
- Responds to and resolves issues with both the regional and global infrastructure server environment setup hosted within the ITS - 2nd level of Windows server support.
- Demonstrates a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving. Has acquired an appreciation of the wider field of ITS outside his/her own specialization and has developed a good broad understanding of computer system architecture. Within a limited time horizon, is able to plan, schedule and monitor own work competently.
- Consults as required on a project by project on server specification and capacity adhering to Global standards. Provides advice to users on systems, products and services, which are available to them.

SKILLS REQUIRED

- Proficient strong knowledge of server infrastructure (Win2003, 2008, 2012)
- Proficient administration skills in Win2003, 2008, 2012, Active Directory domains
- Proficient in Networking technology (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Login Script, Windows Scripting, Symantec Antivirus and HP OVO monitoring
- Proficient with Global Service Now
- Proficient with SQL DB support
- At least basic knowledge of data backup technology (Veritas NetBackup)
- At least basic knowledge of clustering technologies from Microsoft and Veritas
- At least basic knowledge of file storage (NAS)
- Aware of Programming/Scripting Languages (VBScript)
- Aware of Corporate, Industry and Professional Standards (ITIL)
- Fluent knowledge of English
- Knowl edge of Change Management process
- Excellent communicator, customer-oriented and a willing and active contributor to team work
- Minimum 4 years IT experience
- Minimum 2 years in similar role
