System Specialist (Laboratory IT, LIMS, Support)

Our client, a major Pharma global player is currently looking for a SYSTEM SPECIALIST for a 12 months contract in Basel.

PROJECT SCOPE:

The Lab IT Systems Specialist is responsible for providing support to the lab computing environment which demands uninterrupted service in a state-of-the-art biomedical research center.

- Carrying out operations on various technical platforms in the areas of Middleware operating standard universal and communication software.
- Support and direct the system developers and system users in system technical questions
- Creation of procedures, escalation processes and rules for handling exceptional situations (Recovery/Restart).

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

-Technical experience in manufacturing and laboratory systems
-Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as in a regulated environment with Computer System Validation
-Strong technical skills in different operating systems

BACKGROUND:

Advanced degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or at minimum a Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, computer science, engineering or technology
Direct hands on experience migrating pharmaceutical, Biotech or BioPharma LAB EQUIPMENT SYSTEMS. (LIMS)
Exceptional troubleshooting skills and experience supporting non standard SW/HW
More than 5 year experience with hands on troubleshooting and support Production/Laboratories

MISCELLANEOUS:

START: JUNE 2015
END:12 months Contract
Workload: 100% onsite in Basel
English is compulsory, GERMAN FLUENT
