System Performance Engineer, Financial Services, Sydney

New opportunities have arisen due to significant growth at a Large International Financial Services Company here in Australia.

Our client is a significant player both locally and abroad, with Financial Services spanning the entire spectrum from retail to Institutional Banking.

Opportunities have arisen within a niche team, that are an internal consultancy who's focus is Performance across mission-critical systems and the go-to team for performance related issues.

The team consults to different business units on projects and BAU issues pertaining to matters that affect system performance, the role is to perform root cause analysis and devise best course of action to Remedy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Analyse systems design/architecture for potential Performance issues
- Advise on best-methods to address Performance infringing design aspects
- Face off to Technology in mitigating performance exposure pertaining to issues, working with Architects, Project Manager's
- Act as a Senior escalation point for production issues
- Perform Root Cause Analysis
- Manipulate data to visual platform
- Identify and execute upon best means of addressing issues with a focus on Performance and resilience.
- Be the go-to-guy' for Projects and BAU during design phase for technical input pertaining to system availability and performance

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Experience across the Microsoft stack, including: - Web Technology - .NET - SQL -Windows Server
- Ideally a DevOps background with a focus on the MS stack
- Experience across production systems
- Analysis of production data
- Performance, Capacity and Resilience
- Experience with high volume systems
- Root cause analysis
- Someone who has been in the thick of it, got the battle scars and taken away key learning
- War stories!
- Design experience
- Data analysis/visualisation skills - understand data and able to display it functionally
