System Engineer

Yoh has an excellent eight (8+) month contract opportunity for a SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join our client in Melbourne, FL!

Job Responsibilities:
- The MSSN group within the Maritime division has a need for a Systems Engineer to participate in systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
- The individual should possess strong Systems Engineering skills/background and ability to participate in activities including:
- System planning, design, feasibility studies, and modelling.
- Requirements elicitation and management.
- Analyses such as reliability, availability, and failure modes.
- Trade studies.
- Development and evaluation of technical performance criteria and measurement methods.
- System integration, verification and validation.
- Authoring white papers, wiki articles, and reports on a range of technical topics.
- Participating in design reviews with management and customer representatives.
- Author/edit appropriately scaled processes to support best practices and continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications:
- Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in engineering.
- Bachelor's degree with six (6+) years of experience.
- Organized, professional, and proactive.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work with, and lead, a team to accomplish goals
- Skilled public speaker.
- Specific experience in one or more of the following specialty areas:
- Fiber optic networks
- RF communications.
- Subsea systems.
- Mechanical design.

Additional Skills:
- Proposal experience.
- Experience with costing systems.
- Previous experience with process improvement.
- Ability and interest to train/mentor others.
- Excellent abilities with Microsoft Office suite.
