System Design Engineer - Sonar

Sonar design engineer required with Security Clearence or ability to be cleared quickly. Candidates must have a proven track record of delivering Sonar projects on time and to a clients specification, as well as fitting into part of an existing team. The client is looking for a candidate to come in and work on an existing project. There is a strong likelihood of extention beyond the initial six months. Duties will include, but not limited to the following: - Preparation of the system design of the equipment and systems of the Division; - Conceptual design of systems, their architecture and the system interfaces; - Technical responsibility for the system specifications of the products of the Division; - Support to the Product Manager in connection with the definition of the product roadmap; - Systematic monitoring of market trends; - Analysis and assignment of user requirements; - Definition of the technological implementation making use of joint components (standard components, concepts and subsystems); - Modelling the product requirements on the corresponding segments and hardware / software units respectively including the standard components; - Specifications to the Engineering Division as regards subsystems and basic concepts being used in several areas or being potentially useable; - Investigating and ensuring the feasibility of the overall system design; - Authorising manufacture-or-buy decisions for product-specific components; - Reviewing customer presentations with respect to the system design; - Analysis of technical risks and chances; definition and enforcement of measures; Please respond to this advert with a CV to register interest.
