SYSTEM CONSULTANT - (UNIFIED COMMS)
Description
The consultant/s will undertake several sub-tasks that fall under the domain of network expertise support and more precisely the following domains:
- Hypervisor installations and tuning; Technical documentation
- Unified Communications installation, configuration, testing
- Design documents; Testing reports; Analysis reports
- Wide Area Network in depth designs; In depth technical reporting
- Support in evaluating and selecting network solutions
- Testing network architectures; Unified Communications technologies
- High Level consultancy for infrastructure solutions
- Solution oriented market watch on new technologies
- Advise to customers on strategic orientation for installed and future customer product portfolio
- Definition and development of Business Service portfolio and service policies
- Design of high level customer reference configurations
- Provide technical lead; Involvement in ITIL strategy, design and/or continual service improvement phases
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education studies of minimum 3 years in computer science or related field certified by diploma or 3 years of experience in addition to the 6-year experience requirement below
- Minimum 6 years of experience as consultant
- Expertise in the building of significant Unified Communications solutions; In depth Unified Communication skills
- Expertise in the aspects of performance, security, diagnostic and monitoring in network contexts and unified communications contexts
- Design and the implementation, in significantly complex environments of the Skype for Business solution and of the Acano solution (Now Cisco)
- Virtual infrastructure expertise; Technical reporting skills
- In depth technical skills of the common hypervisors
- Extensive experience on in networking and/or security technologies
- Thorough knowledge of market and technology trends
- Certification in a project management framework and/or ITIL Certification are highly desirable
- Designing (converged) IP-network based enterprise architectures
- IP, Gigabit Ethernet, VoIP, unified communications and Wireless-based or Firewall, load balancing, application security, threat management, cryptography or other security technologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact effectively with customer representatives, engineers, sales people and manufacturers.
- Excellent Working knowledge, written and spoken, of English required. Knowledge of French and/or German is a plus.
