System/Business Analyst

Partner with the R&D project teams in a life sciences company to provide system/business analysis: including gathering, analysing, verifying and documenting requirements for enhancements to existing solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Translate high-level pre-project business requirements to detailed business requirements, user requirements, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements for a given project through the elicitation and analysis activities defined in the project plan/schedule.
Build, validate and update diagrams, models and other artifacts to describe business processes, organizational structure and business area context.
Document requirement descriptions through the preparation of requirements specification documentation as required by the project plan.
Review the solution design to ensure it meets business needs.
Ensure all requirements are met in the final solution
Record actions from and facilitate requirements meetings and prepare written documentation according the Solution Development Lifecycle.

SKILLS:

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
The ideal candidate should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010, SharePoint 2010. 4-7 years experience, intermediate knowledge required. Must have a scientific background.

BUSINESS ANALYSIS SKILLS:
Strong experience using standard requirements business analysis techniques, including brainstorming, interviewing, requirements sessions and document analysis, process modelling, conceptual data modelling, use cases and wireframes.
Experience as a project level business analyst within a Research & Development area of a pharmaceutical/life sciences company.
Experience with performing business analysis for the implementation of commercial off the shelf systems.
Solid knowledge of systems life cycle (SLC) and organizational change management.
Candidate must demonstrate excellent skills in analysis, oral and written communication, consensus building, facilitation and the ability to readily learn a new business area
IIBA Business Analysis certification is a plus.
