System Architect

Hanson Regan Ltd is currently searching for an experienced System architect for a long-term freelance option based in Paris .

Duties include:
o Proposal of architecture improvements.
o Design/Validation of technical choices/assets configuration and sizing.
o Identifying and managing technical risks.
o Participation to investigation on incidents.
o Proposal of solutions to solve problems.
o Performance and capacity management.
o Participation to exceptional production events (Infrastructure weekend, Disaster recovery test ).
o Support changes: change on the current IS and on-boarding of new clients.

Required Expertise:

o x86 virtualization VMWare, Linux, Windows
o Backup, Storage network (IBM storage virtualization and array)
o Data center infrastructure and tools (ntp, DNS, ad, monitoring, scheduling)
o Nice to have:
Networks: LAN, WAN (MPLS/IPSEC), Internet, network security (Firewalls, IDS, IPS ...)
Oracle and SQLServer

Profile:
o Strong knowledge in IT and Data Center Infrastructure
o Good level of spoken and written English is required
o Analytical mind with ability to defend architecture choices
