System Administrator with Scripting Knowledge, Luxembourg

An exciting opportunity is currently available in Luxembourg for a SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR with Scripting knowledge. This position is located in the Public Sector through an IT Service Provider.

We are looking for candidates with the following profile:

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

- At least 5 years of experience in a role as System Administrator or equivalent;
- At least 6 months of experience in the Public Sector;
- In-depth knowledge of MS-based Servers and associated services (AD, IIS, etc.): Windows Server (2003 Biztalk, 2008, 2008 R2), Biztalk Server (2006 R2/2009), SharePoint Server (2007/2010) and SQL Server (2005/2008 - DB Engine, Analysis Services, Reporting Services);
- In-depth working knowledge with the following technologies: MS Office, MS InfoPath, Endpoint Protection 2012, ISA Server (2006/TM), SCCM 2012, SCOM 2007/2012;
- Experience in Scripting and the following frameworks would be seen as an asset: C#, Powershell and/or VBS, ASP.NET, Framework .NET 4, Model MVC and WCF SOAP 1.2.

Please bear in mind that experience with all of the above technologies is not required: a >50% match would make for an ideal candidate.

TASKS:

- Complete detailed design features and document the design in accordance with established technical architecture;
- Achieve the development and deployment of the application(s) in accordance with business cases;
- Perform unit testing and functional tests to verify the integrity of the developed application(s);
- Maintain channels of communication with project managers and analysts throughout the evolution of the project;
- Prepare the groundwork for the installation and deployment of the application(s) as well as monitoring the application during the post-implementation stage and providing expertise in case of technical challenges in the system.

PROFILE:

- Ability to understand business cases and detailed specifications and architecture document;
- Be methodical and have the commitment to quality;
- Comply with standards of development and architecture established by the client;
- Be independent and able to integrate into a team;

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

- Fluent in either French or English;
- Knowledge of further EU languages constitutes a distinct advantage.

The position can be offered either as a long term freelance or permanent contract.
