ROLE - SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (WINDOW/LINUX)

JOB DESCRIPTION:- - Performs day-to-day Server systems administration across the regional server estate under his jurisdiction.
- Maintaining and supporting Windows/Linux server environments. Ensuring Systems performance is maintained at its highest standards.
- Executes implementation of common policies, procedures, standards and documents regulating the activities of the Company in the field of System Administration.
- Assist management for IT budgeting and people interfacing/management when required.
- Coordinates relationship with external vendors regarding assigned projects or implementation activities.
- Key player in complex incidents and problems resolution.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting.
- Prepares system design and documentation. Performs regular operational activities with Servers hardware and software. Tracks and controls inventory of Servers' equipment and licenses. Tracks and supports repairs processes (warranty and post), the replacement and cancellation of Servers hardware. Follow policies and procedures to protect the Servers infrastructure and data from unauthorized access, distortion, damage, discredit, destroy, obtain approval to plan and execute necessary implementations
- Knowledge on Server Builds, LAN Server Center Operations, remote management tools.
- Closely Work with other IT/Business personnel in project activity, as required by the IT Technology Management.
- Performs delegated supervisory activity on security processes. Follow information security processes, implementation of the Company's information security policies in his area of responsibility. 
- Test BCP and DRP to assure redundancy of critical business services. Ensures DRP/BCP capability is implemented and operational.
- Provide reports to management about the plans, results, current and anticipated challenges, risks in ensuring continuity of Servers' operations, information security and offer possible solutions to fix. Supervise local team reporting activity.
- possess Certification on WINDOWS/LINUX/VMWARE
- Working knowledge or proficiency in English for purposes of technical communication in a international environment is highly desirable.

Desired Skill:-

- Building, documenting and managing centralized mid (100 to 300 Servers) to large (300 and above Servers) enterprise in Datacenter environment.
- Use automated scripts install of Windows/Linux on multiple OEM Servers and Technologies (HP, DELL, IBM and Sun) including blade Servers.
- Significant exposure (in last 2-3 years) within the last 5 years in documenting, configuring and administrating Linux and Windows Server operating systems,
- Must have knowledge on TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP and SSL.
- Strong understanding of server platforms in a corporate infrastructure.
- Virtualizations on Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix and VMWare.
- Security features of Wintel including Access Control, Active Directory, Firewall, Intrusion Detection
- Demonstrated competency in the use of project management tools and methodologies, directed towards system implementations, relocations and enterprise hardware/software upgrades..
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
