System Administrator/Developer Operations Engineer Admin

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR/DEVELOPER OPERATIONS ENGINEER ADMINISTRATOR to join one of our leading clients in Hartford, CT.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- We are looking for an experienced Sysadmin/Devops Engineer to join Hedge Fund project in Connecticut.
- We are seeking a UNIX expert who knows exactly what to look for when things go wrong
- Experience managing high traffic, multi-server setups comprising Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP (and ideally Memcached, Hadoop and Cassandra).
- A good understanding of the TCP suite of protocols.
- Provide IT support (Mac OS X) to your colleagues and fix the occasional printer problem.
- LAMP configuration and administration
- Deployments and server maintenance in the cloud (Amazon AWS) and a physical data centre
- Experience with monitoring tools and services (Zabbix)
- Good command of Scripting languages: PHP, Python, Bash.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Having a software engineering, programming or computer science degree is required for a job as a Windows Administrator with MCSE and/or MCSA certification.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:
- Possession of a Master's degree is preferred.

- Puppet
- Network design, operations and troubleshooting
