Job description

- OPERATIONS ROLE
- Participate in the 3rd Level on-call standby service.
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT ROLE
- Serve as technical lead for designing, planning, assessing, implementing and/or migrating of the production environment for HQ and Delegations.
- Implementation of test environment and "Proof of Concept" (POC).
- COMPONENT COORDINATION ROLE
- Quality
- Planning
- ITIL Process
- Management of central monitoring infrastructure.
- Writing operational guidelines for the system administrators.
- Participation in training seminars for IT officers.

Additionally, the senior profile could be also asked to perform the tasks of an EXPERIENCED profile:

- OPERATIONS ROLE
- Validation and testing of new procedures before release.
- Development of scripts to improve central management and control facilities (central alerting, central logging, central security polices implementation ...).
- Drafting of procedures, installation notices and scripts for the integration, installation and upgrade of services.
- Participate in the 2nd Level on-call standby service.
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT ROLE:
- Assistance with the roll-out of new ICT infrastructure projects.

Additionally, the senior profile could be also asked to perform the tasks of a JUNIOR profile:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

- Install, connect, configure, maintain, manage & administer, move and/or decommission as needed all ICT infrastructure for the EEAS.

IN PARTICULAR:

- Operational management of the ICT production environment for HQ and Delegations:
- Debugging and analysing of reported problems and escalated incidents.
- Direct intervention on ICT infrastructure (Servers, workstations).
- Preparation and test of new reference configurations (CRB) for any supported hardware, integration & testing of new software versions, service packs, configuration changes.
- On-site installation/migration/repair missions in delegations.
- Operate in accordance with the defined ITIL processes and procedures (incident, change, problem, etc)

Tech & Func Skills

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

- Secondary school (12 years education) diploma/certificate of completion is required
- ITIL v.3 Foundation certification is a requirement of the contract and needs to be obtained, at the latest, 3 months after the start date.
- AT LEAST one technical certification (besides ITIL) in their area of expertise (ie related to the component they are proposed for)secondary school (12 years education) diploma/certificate of completion is required for Junior and Experienced, two are required for Senior

DETAILED REQUIREMENTS

- Enterprise environment.
- Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 Server and Active Directory.
- Internet environment (browsers, IIS, TCP/IP).
- Microsoft Forefront Identity Management
- Loadbalancing
- MIIS (Microsoft identity integration Servers) Exchange disaster-recovery procedures.
- CERTIFICATIONS:
- ITIL V.3 Certification
- MCTS/MCITP/MCSA Windows 2008 Configuring Active Directory or higher.

Language Skills (mandatory)

- Fluent (C1/C2) in either English or French.
- Independent user (B1/B2) in the other language (English or French).

Specific attention

- The normal duration to obtain a diploma is taken into account in the total years of studies (for example 5 years for a Master degree, 3 years for a bachelor degree). Diplomas relevant to this CFT are Computer Science, Information Technology or Applied Science.
- The ICT professional experience is counted as from the month following the diploma awarding process, if experience is relevant for ICT of course.
- Paid traineeship after studies (but not included in studies) in relevant ICT domain can be counted as a professional ICT period.
- The training included in the studies cannot be counted as professional experience.
- A given period counts only once as studies or professional experience. Therefore, working periods even in ICT fields combined with day program studies will not be taken into account as professional experience. On the contrary, working periods in ICT field while following during part time or evening program studies will be taken into account as professional experience.
- Each period of professional experience is counted in months. A given month can never be counted twice.
- The competence in the domain of the specific technical expertise must correspond to a knowledge allowing starting immediately to deliver efficient services without additional training.
