We are currently looking to recruit an experienced
Senior Oracle DBA professional who has experience of working within the a LE/financial services/Banking arena for an initial 9 month contract based on-site with one of Dell's key customers in London.

Skills, experience and technologies:
Sybase ASE 12.5, 15 and Sybase on Veritas
MSSQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 and 2008 R2
Sybase Replication Server 12 and 15
Solaris, Redhat Linux and Windows
SAN technologies configuration for use with Sybase/MSSQL database Servers and back-up technologies.
Good database performance tuning skills especially with regard to I/O issues.
Perl Programming experience essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong troubleshooting skills with an attention to detail and an ability to follow process
You will also have the ability to work and remain calm in a high pressure environment
Good team working skills but equally has to be capable of working alone
