SYBASE DBA, BANKING, ENGLISH, CONTRACT, ZÜRICH
For one of our clients, a worldwide renowned Bank based in Zürich, Swisslinx is currently looking for a SYBASE DBA for a 12-month contract.
As a SYBASE DBA, you will be involved in configuration tasks on both Sybase databases and MS-SQL databases as well as giving your input from a DBA point of view regarding infrastructure environments and providing solutions. Testing, modifying, and resolving performance and system issues will also be part of your tasks. Furthermore, as a team, you will be determining project scope and limitation with regards to the database development.
In order to be considered for this position, we are looking to find the best candidates with the following profile:
- 3+ years of experience with Sybase ASE database & Sybase Replication Server
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Understanding of Perl, and Shell Scripting
- Proficiency with MS-SQL Server 2005/2008
- Fluency in English & German (written and oral)
- Advantageous: Patrol and Control-M
