Sybase Database Technical Lead - $800 per day Neg on experience (S20)

My client one of Australia's leading Banking Institutions is looking for an experienced SYBASE DATABASE TECHNICAL LEAD to join their team.

Your role will be to:

- Provide specialised, escalated support and technical assistance and assist with the monitoring of issue resolution to ensure issues are resolved within a timely manner
- Design backup and recovery procedures to ensure effective Disaster Recovery plans are developed, documented, tested and implemented
-   Expert in Sybase SQL language and optimization, costing techniques & debugging query performance
- Server level performance & tuning using sysmon & MDA tables

Essential experience:

- 5 YEARS+ EXPERIENCE IN SYBASE PRODUCTION SUPPORT & DATABASE PROJECT SUPPORT.
- PROVIDE SYBASE THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
- Advancing ability and knowledge in one or more relevant infrastructure domains
- Understanding of core financial services applications and products desirable
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- AIX & LINUX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR EXPERIENCE AND  CTRL-M IDEAL
