SYBASE JD IS BELOW:- Good technical skills in Sybase ASE v 12, 12.5, 15x instance builds

Good knowledge in Unix operating systems and Windows Servers

Good knowledge in clusters, HA, storage technologies.

Good knowledge in Replication Server .

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Database Platforms Sybase Primary

Experienced DBA supporting Sybase 12.x and 15, Replication Server,

Resource need to have experience on Application Server

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Has worked on Sybase Migrations in large scale from 12.x to 15.x.

Production support DBA with 4+ years of L3 level of experience.

High Availability-Configuration and maintenance.

Hands on Experience on Replication Server- Installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Manages server builds, storage and backup standards, administration support and capacity planning.

Proficient with installations, configurations and maintenance of small and large Sybase database environments.

Manages the Database Servers, Database processes, Change Management, Backup, Archive & Recovery processes.

Accountable for database service administration, integration, documentation and operation strategies.

Monitors, controls and reports service levels for database resources.

Experience on T-SQL and performance tuning at server level

Experience working on Solaris and AIX Unix environment and clusters.

Experience on Database backup and recovery

Responsible for server reliability and capacity planning.

Capacity Management- Adding and initializing raw devices.

Hands on experience on Dump load and in place upgrade from 12.x to 15.x

Development and enhancements of Maintenance Scripts-(Reorg, update stats,DB backups, password sync,database consistency).

DR Testing, Failover and Failback .

User and Security management.

New Sybase Server Configuration/Patch Installation.

Database Troubleshooting and Performance tuning activities.

Hands on experience on Shell, Perl and windows Scripting.

Responsible to ensure security standards and management processes are upheld.

Participated in the implementation and enhancement internal support processes.

Provide support/guidance on database issues, performance tuning of SQL, procedures.

Co-ordinate with Vendor Support to achieve best-in-class solutions for our business partners.

Analyzes, develops, tests and implements database designs in support of corporate and client area technology requirements. Performs data modelling, logical and physical database design,

Maintenance & monitoring.

Responsible for data loading, security, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning and backup and recovery. Executes database software installation, database creations/configurations and loads.
