SW Developer (f/m)

For our customer in Munich, Germany we are currently searching for a SW Developer within the telecommunications industry (f/m)

Project Start: January 2016

Project duration: 12 Months+

Location: Munich

Project Goals:

* Focus of the project: The role is going to be working on site with many end users of the teams product. Therefore strong customer based skills will be required for this (previous customer experience is a must have). The product is run on Java frameworks and the main scripting language is Python (both must have skills). The team uses Git/Gerrit for their workflow tools and knowledge of both these tools is essential. Tasks:

* Handling of Development of features/bug fixing for the bee tool (Command line application of OptiCM6) in Java
* Handling of Development of features/bug fixing for the manifest generation tool included in bee in Java
* Creation of scripts for integration in the build system / Jenkins CI server for maintenance tasks (e.g. creating list of specific Gerrit changes) in Python
* Support the definition of test cases
* Creation/extension of unit tests and code coverage

Skills:

* Java: High
* Groovy & Python: Medium
* Good knowledge of GIT as source control tool, Gerrit as workflow and review tool
* Good knowledge in interfacing via web services (REST/SOAP)
* Usage of Git in environments with high data volume and change traffic
* Linux and Windows expert
* Knowledge about our internal tools (UTP, SPS) is desirable
* Fluent in English
