Sustaining Engineering Developer Job

SUSTAINING ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Minnetonka, MN.

Top Skills Should You Possess:
- Java Development
- SQL Server
- Web Programming

What You'll Be Doing:
- Support Engineering team specializing in recruiting software on the Java platform, utilizing open source software, open source application Servers (GlassFish), Microsoft SQL Server databases and Apache projects for search and retrieval (Solr/Lucene)
- Our Technologies are: EJB 3.1, JPA, JSF, ColdFusion, Flex, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS/HTML, Angular, Solr, Lucene, SQL among others.
- Work closely with Sustaining Engineering team and Business Analysts to triage tickets and defects, research fixes, and resolve the issues
- Provide production support during release cycle, including creating migration/release ticket, making changes and testing applications
- Work day to day in an Agile group with daily stand ups and work closely with other groups like our QA and IT group
- Take part in continuous integrations and build Servers, pre-production environments as well as local environments, virtual machines and IDE configurations.
- Sustaining Engineering production support and troubleshooting may also be needed

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Two (2) plus years of experience in the following: Java, Database, Web Scripting, JavaScript and Web Technologies
- Completed/Enrolled in an Information Systems program pursuing a career in Software Development.
- Experience with Java required.
- High attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Strong desire to learn and adopt is a must.
- Application of OO principles and use of best practices in web development required.
- Experience in SQL language and database technologies required.
- Usage of source control, defect management, and release management tools is a plus.
