Surveyor (Dimensional Control)

Estimated Duration: 3 months +

Location: Rosyth

Responsibilities:

* Portray a Professional Attitude at all times
* Maintain a "can-do", "customer is always right" attitude.
* Manage a trainee and/or assistant; ensure they are working to required standards
* Report on small projects under guidance of Technical Lead/Team Leader/DC Manager.
* Review and agree estimates of the resources for manpower, source materials, equipment and materials needed for projects.
* Agree project work instructions and briefing from Technical Lead/Team Leader/DC Manager.
* Monitor own production rates and quality of the products.
* Update IFS with information relevant to projects being worked on, times, reports, following flowline for the DC Solution
* Review Industry related Journals to keep abreast of emerging technologies.
* Provide support to Senior Management in developing on-going relationships with Customer base.
* Report to the Technical Lead/Team Leader on all relevant issues.
* Able to Drive
* Continually strive for improvement in processes, procedures and the working environment for the good of staff and Company

Qualifications & Experience

Equipment familiarity - Hardware and Software

* General Knowledge of all systems relevant to the Production Sections.
* Experienced in the use of Total Stations, knowledge of Leica instruments an advantage.
* Spatial Analyzer and AutoCAD software knowledge required for all survey production
* Microsoft Office, Spatial Analyzer, and IFS to enable successful preparation of reports and documentation commensurate with the post.
* Knowledge of Rhino useful

Training Requirement

* Basic Equipment Familiarisation
* Vendor Training Technical training by relevant Vendor
* On-Job Training Knowledge enhancement from experience gained in production as well as Continual Professional Development through product training, industry journals etc.
* Health & Safety Training as required. ie induction, harnesses, cherry picker, scissor lift
