Support Specialist - Windows, AD for VIPs

As the SES VIP Support Engineer, deliver superior 2nd, 3rd Level Desktop Support within Civic.

Extensive face to face training and support for Senior Executive officers will see you building trusted relationships and being a champion of IT services internally.

REPONSIBILITIES:- - Responding to incidents and requests from VIP clients and identifying and meeting their IT needs pro-actively
- Working closely with other ISB teams to deliver responsive support to VIP Support clients within Canberra and at overseas posts
- Supporting efforts for continual improvement, including writing documentation, process reviews and assisting with broader business improvement initiatives
- Working autonomously to plan, prepare and deliver small VIP/SES Support projects
- Assisting the IT Service Desk when required, or working on other projects
- Provide technical advice to other staff
- Participate in skills transfer as required
- Mentor junior staff

Selection criteria required by 8 April 2013.

- Work effectively in a complex MS Windows Active Directory environment
- Supporting desktop systems in a MS Windows environment including local and remote deployments and travelling users at the Senior Executive Service level
- Proven skills and ability in configuring, supporting and maintaining a highly mobile fleet of consumer devices
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and liaise with high-level stakeholders
- Support Windows7/Office 2010/Active Directory environment
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
- Administration of Active Directory
- Support and use of Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 suite of products
- Supporting corporate iPad/iPhone and Blackberry solutions and a variety of other consumer electronics and off the shelf products.
- Appropriate qualifications and industry certifications will be viewed favourably. Ability to deliver semi-formal training sessions would also be advantageous.
