Support Engineer Exchange Server

Our client is the world's leading software corporation seeking TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEERS with expertise in Microsoft Exchange Server for an excellent contract opportunity. Candidates will act as secondary response for technical support, including escalated issues, mainly to end users, along with developers and corporate customers.

OVERVIEW

- Provides support via telephone, written correspondence, and electronic media.
- Works independently with limited supervision.
- May provide technical training, coaching and mentoring to other engineers.
- May act as substantial technical resource in product area.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong knowledge and has demonstrated technical proficiency in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and Exchange Server 2010
- Areas of knowledge and proficiency should include routing/transport, storage capacity planning, design/architecture and performance troubleshooting (Microsoft Exchange perspective), clustered deployments, disaster recovery, migration, mobile messaging, topology design with troubleshooting of these areas at the expert level within large network environments
- Solid understanding of Client Server, networking, other messaging applications (IIS, Outlook, Outlook Express, IE, ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Client technology) and Internet technologies fundamentals (ie certificates, SSL, VPN, UCE, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, SMTP, RPC and other protocols including use of troubleshooting tools, Scripting, packet sniffers and/or Netmon
- Secondary expertise in more than one of the following: Windows Operating Systems, Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory (architecture, design, disaster recovery and troubleshooting), Microsoft Exchange High Availability Technologies, Cloud infrastructure (Office 365)

This contract position is expected to be 3 to 6 months in duration.
