POSITION: SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST

JOB TYPE: CONTRACT, 6 MONTHS INITIALLY

SKILLS: SUPPLY CHAIN IN SERVICE ENGINEERING, SUPPLY SOLUTIONS, AIRCRAFT

Location:
Blackburn easily commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Bolton and with excellent access from Manchester

HOURLY RATE: £24.96 LTD

THE JOB:

- TO IDENTIFY ALTERNATIVE SUPPLY SOLUTIONS TO BRIDGE GAPS IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

- WORK CLOSELY WITH IN SERVICE ENGINEERING TO IDENTIFY ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS WHERE SUPPLY CHAIN
- Solutions do not meet customer requirements.
- Communication of the status of Critical Requirements and Loans as required by the customer and interested stakeholders.
- Liaise with customer and supplier organisations as appropriate and initiate meetings where necessary.
- Work in conjunction with procurement to place and expedite critical orders.
- Support the refinement and development of existing and emerging team processes to ensure performance is challenged.
- Coordinate and deliver priority customer requirements within stringent timescales.
- Process material demands in accordance with relevant priority status and ensure responses to customer priority requirements are satisfied within the agreed time scales.
- Identify alternative supply solutions to bridge gaps in the supply chain.
- Identification of repetitive arising and informing appropriate stakeholders and where required support the implementation of any corrective action.
- Work closely with In Service Engineering to identify alternative solutions where Supply Chain solutions do not meet customer requirements.
- Communication of the status of Critical Requirements and Loans as required by the customer and interested stakeholders.
- The initiation, progression and monitoring of Loans from our clients production areas. This will also include progression of the loan payback solution.
- Liaise with customer and supplier organisations as appropriate and initiate meetings where necessary.
- Work in conjunction with procurement to place and expedite critical orders.
- Support the refinement and development of existing and emerging team processes to ensure performance is challenged.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE

- THE INDIVIDUAL SHOULD HAVE EXCELLENT SKILLS IN MS OFFICE SUITE INCLUDING MS PROJECT.
