Supply Chain Principal/Glasgow/Contract/£22.50 Ltd per hour.

My client is a well respected and highly successful market leader who is currently experiencing an ongoing period of growth and success. Due to an ever increasing workload they are looking to recruit a number of supply chain professionals to join their dedicated team of procurement professionals.

Purpose of role:
To direct and manage all the procurement/supply chain activities associated with a defined area. The role includes the development of procurement/supply chain strategies & plans, and the associated engagement and management of suppliers, projects and other stakeholders to deliver project/business objectives. The management and development of team members to drive performance.

Key Technical Skills:
*Experience of Procurement/Supply Chain Department
*Commercial and contractual acumen.
*Working understanding of tool sets and IT.
*Management of cost drivers in the value chain and the principles of Total Cost of Ownership.
*Management of change programmes.
*Risk & opportunity management

Key Leadership/People Mgmt Skills:
*Good listener.
*Good motivator of others.
*Good Coaching skills.
*Good Mentoring skills
*Pro-active and self-motivated.
*Subject matter expert on time delivery, cost and quality through the successful actions of the Supply Chain.
