Supply Chain Manager 12 - 18 Months Fixed Term Contract

Supply Chain Manager:- My client is one of the UK's leading retail companies, they are looking for a Supply Chain Development/Project Manager for a 6 months Fixed Term Contract.

They have a fantastic opportunity for a credible and knowledgeable Supply Chain Manager to join their team on a 12-18 months fixed term contract based in the Midlands. As Supply Chain Manager you will be accountable for a wide range of key deliverables across the end to end supply chain solution. You will be developing a strategy to improve stock flow efficiency and maintain strong service levels and reduce company stock holding to improve the business cost base.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Manage the product supply processes to ensure all orders are placed accurately and timely to drive optimum availability into group warehouses (UK and off-shore) to enable branches to maximise availability.
- Manage and lead the team to achieve central stock availability, cost to serve and stock to ensure departmental targets are met and exceeded.
- Support the senior supply chain leadership team in achieving business targets.
- Identify opportunities in the end to end supply chain to improve margin and profit.
- Manage the supply of product, which is in short supply, to ensure an appropriate distribution of stock to balance sales and business risk/impact.
- Communicate to all relevant external and internal teams on all availability issues with action taken to resolve any issues that may impact sales or service.
- Ensure the forecasting, replenishment and master data systems, parameters and all data within it is kept up to date and maintained, with all policies and exception management procedures followed.
