Supply Chain Manager

Procurement Manager for Construction, should meet the following criteria:
* will work as part of a project team on a civil engineering highways project. Procurement Manager for Construction will be required to minimise the costs of materials and plant, and participate in establishing and implementing procurement strategies.
* Obtain best value and deliveries on time
* improve service level agreements with suppliers and internal departments
* Tenders - preparation of enquiry documents and tender review sheets
* Implementation of procedures and supply agreements
* Sourcing of, and negotiation with suppliers
* Progressing the provision of materials and services to meet contract programmes and deadlines.
* Obtaining quotations for materials and plant to tight deadlines to meet tender return dates.
* Raising of orders ensuring relevant technical and commercial clauses are included
* Participation in Category Agreement Teams
* prospective Civils Buyers should meet the following criteria:
* Experience negotiating with, and sourcing new suppliers
* Site based experience - desirable

THE ROLEHOLDER:

* Procurement Manager for Construction will have Experience in the procurement of construction/infrastructure maintenance/soft and hard business/building services subcontracts and materials.

NEC3/JCT Contract experience desirable
* Sub Contractor Experience Needed.
