Supply Chain Manager

Purchasing Manager (electronics) - £55,000-£65,000 Progressive Engineering has a unique opportunity for a purchasing manager with strong strategic skills to join there pioneering purchasing team. You will report directly to the operations manager. This will suit you if you're looking to develop your career at a senior level and within a leading engineering company. You must also be a strong negotiator that enjoys the strategic side of buying. The Role You will maintain and establish supplier relationships in the electronics industry. This will include: * Negotiating agreements * Working with R&D and NPI groups * Achieve better cost reductions * Source components * Manage a well established buying team The Person You will have a strong background in purchasing and managing teams. In particular you will have: * Strong strategic cost and supply negotiations * Experience working in a fast moving and innovative environment * Ideally, experience as a strategic buyer (not essential) * Experience with ERP planning tools * Full understanding of achieving supply chain goals This role is ideal for a senior electronics buyer looking for the next step up in their career.
