Supplier Quality Engineer Job

SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER needed for a long term CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WARSAW, IN.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Assist with the training and implementation process for deploying APQP, risk assessment tools, MSA, and statistical quality tools at the client's supplier partners.
- This position will be responsible for assisting reviewing and approving APQP documents, reviewing MSA studies for accuracy, reviewing risk assessments and their affect on processes, and ensuring sampling processes are statistically based.
- This position will also be responsible for tracking multiple projects and working with the remainder of the supplier quality team to coordinate their time at the suppliers.
- Review and assess APQP documents including but not inclusive too: Process Flows, PFMEA's, Control Plans, Inspection Plans, MSA studies, Risk assessments, Capability, and statistical sampling plans
- Manage corrective actions that stem from a lack of a correctly applied APQP or validation process
- Compare process documentation against actual processing at client supplier partners
- Monitor supplier progress against pre-agreed objectives and goals

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Engineering or Science/Technical field.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in Product Quality/Supplier Quality Certified Six Sigma or Lean Green Belt preferred
- Demonstrates a fundamental base in statistics, SPC, and process control methodologies
- Demonstrates advanced problem solving skills through the use of quality and statistical tools
- Demonstrates a fundamental base in Quality tools such as control plans, risk analysis, gage calibration and gage studies, advanced quality planning, and process validation.
- Knowledge of all APQP documents and how they work together to form a complete and solid process
- Must possess effective facilitator, instructor, and mentoring skills
- Has a previous experience in conducting QMS or POS audits
- Has a working knowledge of lean philosophies, production processes, and effective change control
- Must have demonstrated a history of strong performance, including leadership abilities, and excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
