Supplier Quality Engineer

San Diego Medical Device Company seeking a Highly Talented Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team.

Your role:

You will be working with external suppliers to bring high class components to new and existing products. You will be responsible for overall supplier quality systems to ensure that medical devices are meeting FDA/ISO standards and customer satisfaction. You will be the sole contributor to vendor approval and maintaining existing relationships. You must be experience in extrusion and injection molding, as well as SPC/Process Capability.

You need to communicate supplier-related problems as they occur and develop auditing schedules to ensure designated suppliers are audited while following quality standards.

Requirements:

* 3+yrs hands on engineering experience from a mechanical standpoint
* Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree
* 3+ yrs of Medical Device Experience in Supplier Quality
* Hands on auditing and problem solving skills
* Understanding of Quality Standards- GMP, ISO 13485
* Able to Travel minimum 25% both local and internationally
* Fantastic technical communication and interpersonal skills

Salary:

90,000-110,000 depending on experience
