A world leading automotive company based in the West Midlands is currently looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to support continued success and growth.

The responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer are as follows:
• Management of production suppliers to ensure that component are supplied to correct quality standards.
• Progress quality driven actions with suppliers in order to maintain reliable deliveries.
• Sourcing of new suppliers/ processes to support NPI and BCCS projects including benchmarking, supplier risk assessments and audits.
• Carrying out routine supplier audits
• Supporting suppliers with APQP in order to facilitate timely and effective introduction of new parts/processes
•Obtaining necessary PPAP parts from suppliers
• Monitor and record supplier PPM through SAP on a daily basis

To fulfil these requirements you must have the following skills/experience:
• Supplier Quality Engineering - preferably within the automotive industry
• Knowledge of PPAP & APQP
• Strong problem solving skills - 8D, 5Y, PPS, etc.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent customer service skills
• First tier / OEM experience is an advantage
• Good understanding of TS16949
• Excellent communication skills
