Stress Engineer (Structural Analyst)

Stress Engineer (Structural Analyst) urgently required for prestigious Surrey based client. As the Stress Engineer(Structural Analyst) you will be involved in the analysis and design of spacecraft systems and sub-systems. The Stress Engineer (Structural Analyst) will be working closely with principal Analysts. As the Stress Engineer (Structural Analyst) your Key responsibilities for this role include:
Undertaking structural and thermal analysis of both in-house and 3rd party
systems/sub-systems
Validating numerical analyses using benchmarks with analytical solutions
Developing environmental envelope specifications from launch documentation,
analysis and test data
Finite element modelling of mechanical components and structures

As the right candidate for the role as Stress Engineer (Structural Analyst) you will have a good understanding of the principles of FEA as well as Experience in the use of a 3D CAD and a HND/degree. Mechanical experience also design/analytical experience using a leading package essential. The role requires the candidate to be highly efficient in the use of Nastran/Patran and detailed hand calculations. As the right candidate for the role as Stress engineer (structural Analyst) you will have knowledge of Finite Element Analysis, Detailed hand stressing and interest/Mechanical Testing background.
