Stress Analysis Engineer

Mechanical / Structural Stress Engineer with Thermal Analysis to support product development teams thorughtout the design and development process. Contract to hire position in Long Beach, CA. Pay listed is approximate and will be based on your experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide load and stress anlaysis support for development programs across multiple products
- Perform structural analysis and simulation of complex natures using conventional classical stress analysis and finite element analysis (ANSYS is required)
- Develop and document structural tests to assess structural and thermal integrity.

REQUIREMENTS

- BSME
- 4-5 years of mechanical / structural analysis including thermal and stress
- Ability to calculate stress/ life and fatigue estimates, good working knowledge of structural analysis tools
- Ability to model thermal and mechanical loads and boundary conditions
- Design engineering experience in a high tech industry, gas turbine preferred
