FULL TIME - 37 HOURS PER WEEK
MONDAY - FRIDAY (SOME EVENINGS & WEEKENDS REQUIRED)
SOUTHEND-ON-SEA, ESSEX

Fixed Term Contract until 30th September 2014

The Highways and Traffic Management Services is focused on achieving the safe and efficient movement of traffic around the Borough's highway network, bringing environmental improvement benefits to our local communities, and maximising economic development opportunities within the area.

To manage and supervise a team addressing the requirements of the Traffic Management Act 2004 (The Act) and the New Roads and Street Works Act.

To formulate Council policy in relation to delivering the requirements of the Traffic Management Act.

To investigate problems and deliver solutions to them in line with the requirements of the Act

To co-ordinate the development of staff within the section and to provide leadership to them
