Strategic & Senior Architect
Goal of the mission: design and implement a managed workplace user experience and the required underlying design process to keep it managed.
Context:
- The foundation of the new desktop is Windows 10 and Office 2016
- New hardware types are requested by internal users,
- Opportunity to use Office 365 have been identified but need a modern platform.
Decision:
It has been decided to take the opportunity of the migration project to review the desktop design from the ground up.
Expected/identified main "deliverables"
Define and implement (with teams) a Workplace Design Process.
This includes
o Profile definition HW (Desktop, Laptop, Hybrid, Tablets) GPO, Software Set
Connectivity (LAN,Corporate WIFI, Public WIFI)
o When/How many profiles need to be managed/negotiated with internal users
o Security measures (derived from and negotiated with client Security team Requirements)
It is expected that the design process covers o Business (Functional) requirements gathering and challenging
Scenario/personae based requirements description is preferred
o Transversal impact on quality of Non-Functional requirements of different alternatives
o Validation(Test): approach, risk based
o Implementation coordination (with other ICT teams (Network, Servers,...)
o Enabling operation and use (communication to supporting teams like Service Desk)
o Gathering quality feedback from the end-users
