Strategic Procurement Negotiator, London

My clients a an International Bank based in the City of London currently seek a Strategic Procurement Negotiator p to 45k.

This a great opportunity to join a close knit team and growing strategic sourcing function with challenging targets for cost reduction.

Focusing primarily on IT Contracts across an International remit it is essential that the post-holder has strong generalist IT sourcing experience across Hardware, Software, Telecoms, Networking and a variety of IT Services. As this is a collaborative team there will also be a strong requirement for this individual to assist the Non-IT Sourcing team therefore Generalist Procurement professionals with strong IT Sourcing experience will be of considerable interest.

The principal accountability will be to strategically negotiate IT contracts therefore the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate sourcing expertise above simple tendering processing. Additional key responsibilities will include:

- Strategic Sourcing: Identify, select and engage with suppliers to ensure competitive market advantage
-Demand Management: Achieving saving through usage pattern analysis
-Reviewing existing contracts
-Vendor Management: Relationship management, risk reduction and driver competitiveness
-Negotiation: Reduce pricing and ensure new contracts reflect organisation's T&C's
-Offering strategic sourcing advice: Partner key business stakeholders

Ideal candidate will be a credible self starter with excellent communication skills who will meet the following criteria:

Experienced sourcing professional with strong IT sourcing experience

Strategic contract negotiation experience and proven cost reduction

On-line tender and e-auction experience

Knowledge of SAP RM contract management
