Internet.org is a global initiative dedicated to making affordable Internet access available to the two thirds of the world not yet connected. Making the Internet available to every person on earth is a goal too large and too important for any one company, group, or even government to solve alone. Internet.org's partners have come together to meet this challenge because they believe in the power of a connected world. This role is an apportunity to be part of this initiative by working with developlers, organisations, and businesses on bringing affordable Internet with relevant and outcome oriented sevices to the unconnected.

An urgent vacancy has arisen in MEXICO CITY for a STRATEGIC PRODUCT PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER for internet.org. As a Partnerships manager you will work closely with internal stakeholders, developers, and content creators in your region, handling relationships that will provide hundreds of millions of people of affordable and relevant digital services and tools.

Initially an 11-month contract, the opportunity to extend the contract or convert to full time on expiry may arise.

DUTIES

- Work with the Internet.org Partnerships team to identify, evaluate and execute strategic content product and services partnership opportunities.
- Maintain direct and active relationships with Internet.org content partners, including proactively resolving business and technical issues and serving as an internal advocate.
- Work cross-funtionally with product, engineering, policy, marketing and Public Relations to launch Internet.org programs in the region.
- Track, analyse and communicate key quantitive partner metrics, industry trends and impact.
- Represent Facebook in external meetings with senior executives from other companies.

CRITERIA

- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in Engliah language.
- Fluent in Spanish language.
- A strong passion and curiosity for innovative social products and their potential for adoption in the unconnected world.
- Strategic thinker who is comfortable in a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous start-up environment.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive, cross-funtional initiatives.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management, both inside and outside Facebook.
- Ability to meet multi objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision.
- Basic understanding of web and app technology & capacity to quickly learn technical concepts.
- Strong understanding of the Facebook platform and programs like FBStart.
- Strong academic background in a subject relevant to the position.
