Strategic IT Business Consultant - 9 Month Contract - Brisbane CBD

Develop and maintain a trusted relationship across a portfolio of internal customers. Interpret and prioritise tactical, operational and strategic IT activities together with business plans and IT strategic initiatives. Adding value and benefit through an in depth knowledge of their customer base and influencing in those areas which could benefit from investments in IT to generate improvement.

CRITICAL DELIVERABLES

- Define, maintain and report on the consolidated IT costs (project delivery, applications, infrastructure and services) within a functional portfolio
- Influence key managers in the functions about those initiatives which should be undertaken to optimise IT costs and meet internal and external imperatives
- Understand the business architecture and value chains within the portfolio which would benefit from IT investment
- Develop a transparent, consistent view of pipeline through definition and application of right sized process from idea conception, Lead generation, to Project Startup which collaborates and engages with the relevant roles in business and IT delivery teams.
- Ability to influence IT delivery teams aligning to business priorities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business and IT colleagues
- Be market aware about trends and how they would relate to our enterprise functions
- Contribute to the development of the IT Strategy
- Establish appropriate governance forums to simplify and standardise planning and prioritisation of strategic initiatives
- Be driven to seek out improvements across the functional portfolio
